Dr Arun Shahi

Dr. Arun Shahi is an esteemed Medical Oncologist and public health expert from Nepal, with extensive experience in clinical practice, research, and medical education. He is currently serving as an Assistant Professor of Medical Oncology at the Patan Academy of Health Sciences (PAHS), where he also teaches undergraduate and postgraduate medical students. Dr. Shahi holds an MD in Medical Oncology from Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University, Dhaka, and a Master of Public Health (MPH) from North South University, Dhaka.




Dr. Shahi’s professional career spans both clinical and academic roles. In addition to his position at PAHS, he is the Consultant and Unit Head of Medical Oncology at Norvic International Hospital. His expertise encompasses a wide range of cancers, including breast, lung, and gastrointestinal cancers, with a focus on improving treatment outcomes in South Asia. He has been actively involved in research, particularly related to cancer epidemiology and risk factors, and has published widely in international medical journals.

An active participant in global oncology initiatives, Dr. Shahi is a member of several leading medical societies, including the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) and the European Society of Medical Oncology (ESMO). He is also a mentor in the ASCO Diversity Mentoring Program and contributes to various cancer-related educational programs globally. Dr. Shahi is committed to advancing cancer care in resource-limited settings and improving public health outcomes in Nepal.
